I bought a Quicksilver 800MHz MP (dual) processor board and put it in my G4 Digital Audio.

It runs without any problems, but the level 3 cache is not detected by the system (10.3.9 / 9.2.2).

Did somebody manage to run such a processor board in a G4 Digital Audio with an enabled L3 cache?

I already installed the CHUD tools. The Reggie shows the L3CR registers with the L3E flag not set (0x1F424340). When i put the flag i can't apply the changes (chudWriteSPR() error). Looks like the register is read only!?

Every hint would be very appreciated!

This is a late followup but hope it's worth something.

I just overclocked my new-to-me 867mhz QS to 1ghz and in the process needed to change the core voltage from 1.9V to 1.95V in order to get the L3 cache enabled again. See this page for details. I don't know if it will solve your problem as you are using a QS proc in a DA but it's a thought.
