Dual Boot MacBook Pro?

I am the proud owner of an iMac desktop and I also dual boot the machine using Windows XP SP3. I've noticed my iMac seems to run Windows XP flawlessly... much better than my now obsolete Windows PC computer... no more blue screens! I also have a Sony laptop which from time to time is still blue screening on me. I'm wondering if anyone has installed Windows XP on their MacBook Pro. Have you been getting the same good results as I have had on my iMac? Thanks!

I am running VMWare Fusion and so far no problems. I must disagreed that Windows runs better on a Mac. When I had Windows and still have it, all my machines run mint!!! Knock on wood.

Perhaps I mis-labelled my subject. I actually use Boot Camp so I don't have both operating systems active simultaneously. Using both operating systems in parallel slows down the computer as the multicores are divided by two. Also, there may be issues about VMWare Fusion not applicable with Boot Camp.

Definitely go Win7.... no osx but big step up for windows.

Don't go Win7 yet. The upgrade process to the full version of Win 7 is not going to be pretty. You're going to have to reinstall everything.

I have great results with Win7 64-bit with boot camp. However, because it is a RC, boot camp does not fully support it. Some issues I've encountered are can't turn off keyboard lighting for laptops, no sound, no system-run fan speed controller (which has a temporary fix - set fan speed in OSX then restart into Win7), and no fan detection by 3rd party controllers.

I can almost guarantee Windows 7 will have serious security issues since there are thousands of hackers who will try to infiltrate it. No such thing as a secure OS but since Windows is the dominant OS there's a challenge to disrupt it's success.
