Hypothetically of course, but if you could dual boot your iPad and have a partition for windows or osx, would you?

What purpose would that serve? As mentioned, those OSs aren't adapted to the touch interface, and the processor and ram is underpowered to do anything useful.

I would definitely not dual boot into a desktop OS, but I might think about booting into Windows Mobile or Android if there was a compelling application and the OSs were written for the hardware.

Hypothetically speaking, I still wouldn't do it either. I've never found a use for anything other than OS X on my Mac, so why would I need to use anything else other than iOS on the iPad? So yeah haha

Well:
1. Windows (no!)
2. MacOSX (not really...)
3. Android (maybe?)

As much as Android is compared to the iOS, it has its own strengths and weaknesses. Weakness primarily being the App store and purchasing selection. But as a developer, its an open system.

Any OS not designed specifically with touch in mind doesn't belong on an iPad.

I don't believe I would want to either. The only reason i put windows on my mac was to play a few pc games that hadn't crossed over to the mac yet. I've only used android for a few minutes on a friends phone and didn't like the UI that much really. The iPad was made to be simple, why try and clutter it up?

256MB Ram isn't enough, but I'm sure you knew that before posting the thread. Well I guess I could load DOS on the iPad but that will be stupid.
