Dual cpu mac pro upgrade questions

Hello, i have a 2x2.26 2009 mac pro that i am seriously considering upgrading to hexs after the firmware hack was released allowing 2009 units to take them. I know about the difficulties in upping a dual cpu unit, but am still thinking about doing it.

I know phil has put together a truly outstanding guide for the single cpu machine, but was wondering if there was a similar guide (preferably with pictures) for the dual cpu machines. I read about heatsink modifications and want to see what that looks like and what goes into it before purchasing the costly cpus.

It is a bit harder then the 2010.

You will need to tighten the heat sinks evenly. No more then 1/2 half turn per screw before moving to the next screw. move in an x pattern. for the four screws. I think a thin washer on each screw as a spacer would be helpful to prevent crushing the pins.

Looks like washers that total 1.7mm in thickness will prevent pin crushing along with half turn x pattern tightening of the 4 screws:

I've already gone through what Anandtech website but they dont go in to deep on how high does the IHS actually is and the thickness of the non IHS processor compare to with IHS.

But today after some research i've found out that the W5590 IHS was increased by app 1.7mm compare to the non IHS and the processor actually sink by 0.5mm into the tray after tightening where i got this reading by compare to a X58 board with a 1366 Clamp as the original Spacer was 5mm in height so by placing 2pcs of washer which is a total of 1.7mm increase in height and come to a total of 6.7mm which was perfect and wont damage the pin even if over tighten as it will not go any more where the washer has stop the tightening
