Dual display instead of mirroring?

Is there any possibility to do something like this?

I'd like the ability to have watch a movie on my tv, while working on a document on my computer.

I don't believe so, however I'm sure they will continue to update AirPlay. So it could come.

If the movie is played from either iTunes or Quicktime, you can do it using Airplay. Otherwise you have to use Airplay mirroring.

Not through Airplay Mirroring, but there are lots of ways to accomplish this.

One way is through the use of Air Video server and similar apps. They stream (using real-time encoding) to your iPad/iPhone which in turn can output to your Apple TV.

And another way is simply a wired connection to your TV
