Hi
I'm using the following:
MacBook Pro M1 Max 2021
Dell 38" curved monitor
Dell 27" gaming monitor in vertical position
Cal Digital TS3 Plus dock
Cables - HDMI supplied from Dell
OS 12.4

What I want to do is use both monitors with my MacBook but when I set this up I can only view the two monitors if the MacBook clamshell is partially open. When I close it it goes to sleep and the monitors will not detect a signal. If I'm using a single monitor I do not have this issue. Has anyone ran into this before?

When I try clamshell mode, the monitors just shut off. Is that a setting within my MacBook I can set?
No. The Mac is supposed to wake back up when in clamshell mode when it detects input from an external keyboard or mouse.
If it’s not waking with two displays connected, it could be something with the dock. Try connecting them directly to the Mac bypassing the dock. If that works, add one thing back at a time to the dock until you find the culprit.
