dual display on imac

hi, i'm new to this forum
so hi to everybody

i'm currently using PPC IMac 17" and one of the apps
that i'm using needs to have dual display (one on the iMac
and one on the other monitor).

problem is i've tried to use miniDVI to vga adapter and plugged it to another monitor, but mirroring is all i got.

when i tried to find arrange display, it says that "arrange pane has been disabled"

can somebody help me please ?

you need the "screen spanning doctor" or hack (google it).

It works with the PPC iMac (I used it in the past with my 20" 1.8 iMac)

Here is a Link for the screen doctor app. I used this on my 12" 1.33GHz iBook G4, worked like a charm.

Yep. Apple does not natively support dual screen spanning on your setup.

ok this must be the anwer,
but since i've returned my miniDVI-to-VGA adapter to the shop,
i guess now i'll run there to get it back
