I have two iMac monitors I wish to use as a dual display setup. One monitor has a mini display port and the other has the mini dvi port. Any suggestions on how I can possibly make this happen. Thanks in advance!

The mini DVI one most likely will not be usable as a monitor for another without modding it. Display port one I'm assuming the same, as Target display mode does not work on a 20" or 24" iMac. You could use them as monitors with programs that share your screen over the network, but all three computers will need to be up and running and there will be input delay.

Take out the logic board of the iMac with DVI port.
Replace it with an LCD driver board that match its LCD model. Reconnect PSU, power button may need some skills.
Now you have a pure LCD inside iMac enslosure.
If you can be consent with only 1 D-SUB port, a generic LCD driverboard is quite cheap.
The difficulty will only arise when you insist on having a DP port.
