So both the 14 Pro and Pro Max appear to have the dual-frequency GPS which uses both the L1 and L5 GPS frequencies and is marketed as enhancing position accuracy in urban type environments where GPS signals bouncing off the buildings can cause problems.

Having had a few problems with my 12 Pro's GPS, in particular when using it with Carplay, where it can be 100-400m out! Here's hoping there are some improvements for performance in all situations and in the handshake with Carplay and the car.

Anyone else looking forward to this less discussed upgrade?

Interesting, should help reduce multipathing and is a good thing in downtown environment. I hadn't seen anything on this re the 14.

From the available specs it's only on the Pro models and not the 14's. A bit like watch 8 vs ultra.

Cool. I pretty regularly have issues where it thinks I'm on a road 50-100 ft over. Maybe this will help.
