Dual i5 or Quad i7?

I've decided to get a Mac Mini at Xmas.

What would you guys recommend I configure it with.. i5 or i7?

It would be cool to have an i7, let alone a quad core!!

I'm tempted to get the higher model with it as it seems powerful. Also, would it be worth getting the server edition?

you mean the existing Mac Mini because there hasn't been any Mac Mini update yet!

I mean the current Mac Mini. Any future models don't really concern me as I can't buy them atm, so they are not of interest.

I would go for the i7. Like already many times mentioned here. The processor is the only thing you cant update in the future. Ram and HD are upgradable...

That being said, is there any reason why you could not wait another month?

I personally would be supper P.O.ed if i got the current MM and in a few weeks saw the new version on the apple store...

From all the rummers i have read. there doesn't seem to be any indication in either way. But i think i would not be wrong in suggesting that if it isn't here by x-mass the likelihood of in being here before apr-may is small
