I have it connected but it breaks fullscreen when i select something on the non-fullscreen screen

That is normal behaviour if you use a browser or some video player to watch videos in full screen. Maybe MRoogle can help you (that issue comes up every once in a while, thus threads exists about it) or you change your thread title to be more descriptive to get proper help in here.
