Hi guys, hoping you can help.

I am running a dual screen set up; one screen using the mini display port, to which I have a converter to VGA, this displays fine.

The other screen is using the other available port;the HDMI. Using a standard HDMI lead has absolutely fuzzy turd results. I have bought an HDMI to VGA adapter to see if this helps, but the mac doesn't recognise it.

What are my best options for me to have both screens displaying clear quality? Has anyone else had similar experience? Please recommend me a product or route to go down.

Thanks in advance!

Fuzzy turd results don't sound like a digital connection. If you go from mini hdmi to the monitor hdmi with a hdmi cable then the signal should be fuzz-free. Digital connections will typically work, or not, whereas analog connections, like vga, can have varying degrees of fuzziness. The cheapest thing is to try a different cable, if that doesn't work then either the mini or display hdmi port may have a problem.
