Wife just asked me if she could purchase the new iPhone with the Dual SIM capabilities. Her small business has 1 cell phone service with Verizon and another cell phone service with AT&T.

I wonder if it is possible to have both cell numbers ring on the new Dual SIM iPhone. Anyone know the answer to this? I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this question.

Thanks in advance.

Look on Apple.com on the fine print. I believe it’s 14 (Dual Sim) at the bottom of the tech specs. They spell it out better than I could for you. It will, however, be interesting how VZW and ATT approach this. I would love to be able to do what you are describing as well.

During the event, the Xs and Xs Max will use physical sim and an eSIM which it wouldn’t be active until later this year through a software update.

What just occurred to me: allowing 2 different carriers on the same phone through the Dual SIM would probably lessen users switching between carriers as often as they currently do. Now is that a positive or a negative for the carriers? In that they might have to sweeten their offers to attract new customers?

Interesting.

The important text:

"To use two different carriers, your iPhone must be unlocked. Otherwise, both plans must be from the same carrier. If a CDMA carrier provides your first SIM, your second SIM won't support CDMA. Contact your carrier for more information."

Looks like a go. However the fine print also says:
