With the sim and e sim situation on the new X phones...one can presumably have one line be AT&T and the other Verizon right?

And then, if one has an Apple Watch...it would receive notifications for both lines?

Yes to your first question each SIM can be a different carrier/ plan.

No on the second. The watch has a single eSIM which gets registered with a carrier and then they use number sharing/forwarding from whichever phone you have registered with that carrier.

Now any functions that work on the watch that are not cellular specific — as in via wifi or Bluetooth — will work on your watch as relayed from the phone it’s linked with, regardless of which cellular network it may be getting it’s data from. So that will be handy for travel situations.

Hmmm...so I wonder which notifications wouldn’t work...if you had the phone with you. I would love my watch to ringing either way... and see texts for both.

Disagree.. the watch is paired with the phone and will get notifications and calls from both lines. Now if it’s a cellular watch. It can only be activated for LTE with one of the lines. But if the phone is in range. It should receive calls/texts from both lines.

That’s what I am hoping! So bummed this won’t be available right away!

I suppose I didn’t articulate that well. Also I guess I was just thinking texts from the associated line if it’s an LTE watch, but silly me forgetting the non-cellular watches already get everything if they’re within range to be linked with a phone. So yeah, should get all texts/ notifications for both lines.
