I have both Verizon and T-Mobile on my 14 pro max and after upgrading to iOS 17 one of my SMS texts put a V next to it.

Both messages are using Verizon but one is SMS (1st one) and the second one down is iMessage.

Where did this V come from and how do I get rid of it?

Thank you. IMG_0917.jpeg

I’m using dual esim on my 14 PM but never seen this little letter next to a text before. Did you named that line with a word that starts with V?

No. It’s my Verizon line. That is all I can think of

I just checked my phone and i also have the little letter Mine is P because I’ve named that line Personal

I like this new feature that way it is easy to tell which number the SMS was sent to. A "T" for T-Mo and an "A" for ATT.

Also it only appears next to regular sms/text it won’t appear next to iMessages…

I guess because you can only do iMessage under one line. I don’t like it though. I wish there was a way to shut it off
