Does anyone know if it's possible to use dual sim functionality with only 2 eSims? So not using the physical sim tray at all? I know you can load more than one sim profile on the eSim, but can you active two of those at the same time?

The previous poster is correct, you can have more than one eSIM, but only one of them can be active at a time.

There seems to be two groups of eSIM proponents.

One group wants to use different providers traveling internationally, or wants different providers because one provider has a better data plan while the other provider has better coverage.

Speaking for myself, I'm fine with just USDM T-Mobile because I've done most of the international traveling I'll ever do, at this stage in my life.

I'd be perfectly happy having two T-Mobile eSIM, one public/business and one private, and I'd just switch to the private number when I want to be left alone!

:)

Being able to use two eSIM keeps me from having two different physical phones, and keeps me from having to switch physical SIM so often.
