Does iPhone 12 Pro support dual sim 5G yet. I have both ATT and VZW and I am traveling and want to only carry one phone. Wanted to make sure that I can still have 5g UWB even if I put both numbers in one phone.

Thank you. Could you explain any draw backs my friend.

You’re welcome. Sorry can’t help you with regards to drawbacks because I don’t use it myself. But don’t see why there would be any drawbacks. Maybe someone else will chime in.

The only drawback I see when having dual SIM active is when having Facetime* calls over 4G or 5G while driving. As the iPhone has only one radio/modem, when it needs to roam to a new base station on your second SIM while having a Facetime call on the first SIM, you may see short glitches and drops of a split-second. Definitely annoying enough for me to turn Dual SIM off.

* = or any other kind of video call like Teams, Zoom, etc

I upgraded to the 14 beta back when it came out specifically for early access to this feature. Works great, really no drawbacks.

Just keep in mind, you have to select which line you want for data and which for voice/sms. You can still make/receive calls/sms on both lines, but you have to choose which one is "default" for voice.
