MP 7,1 Dual-Slot RX 6800 XT in MP 7,1

I randomly found one of these mythical dual-slot RX 6800 XT GPUs from Dell new, so I went for it and I'm glad I did.

Its nice to have a dual-slot GPU that doesn't block a PCIe slot like all the other models available. Definitely looks like it is using the same cooling system as the Radeon VII.

The performance is really great and is quite quite under sustained heavy load.

We'll see over time, but so far its great with no issues. I'm currently using it without a MPX GPU (replaced a Radeon Pro Vega II).

The slot you are freeing up is IMHO, a throw away slot. Why Apple included slot 2 is beyond me. It's an 8X slot and is usually covered. The useful 8X slots are 6 & 7. All the bottom slots are 16X, except slot 2.
