I bought duet display so I could use my ipad as another monitor. if I try and make the ipad the main display and the mac display the secondary the program freaks out. it immediately defaults back to extended and then there is massive glitches and flickering to the point where I have to restart both apps. I really wish they had documented the fact that the ipad cant be the main screen with the dock otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Unless someone knows a workaround?

I assume you have the latest version of Duet for Mac?
What you describe happened to me on the former version.
Anyway, I can set my iPad to be the main display (showing the Dock and the program switcher Cmd-Tab) without any glitches.

That's odd I have the latest version of duet and latest version of host app for my Mac. Interesting that yours is working because this is what the developers of duet sent to me. key info in bold.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Currently Duet prevents the iPad from being the main display due to outstanding issues with OSX when Duet is the primary monitor. We've submitted bug reports to Apple and are awaiting responses from the OSX dev team.
