The title says it all! Duke Nukem 3D is out in the App Store and it's $2.99 for the launch day only! I loved this game when I was younger and I'm excited it's on the iPhone :)

The game isn't exactly the full PC version. The strip club isn't the same its censored a little bit and the controls take getting used to.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

The controls take a little while to get used to, the analogue sticks are awful put the 'prey' controls work ok with a bit of practice.

I looked at the screenshots. Where are the controls and how do you move around?

You can set the transparancy of the controls in the menu so they must have hidden them.

Anyone else getting the 'not compatible with your device' error here? I tried to buy it this morning and when I synced I got the error ... iPod Touch 1st gen, OS 3.0.x

The game says it's only compatible with the 2nd generation...

I didn't recall seeing that ... and based on the reviews neither did many others. Even Apple Support didn't point that out.

Also - there are several comments of those with 2nd gen Touches that it won't work for - and Apple support says that it isn't 3.0 compatible.

It says it right under the "REQUIREMENTS" section.

Compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch (2nd generation)
Requires iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later

I've been happy using the digital controls. Takes a little while to get used to them and then it starts to feel natural.
Use digital controls, tapshoot, easy aim and then turn down the movement sensitivities a little.
It's a great port.
