I got a new MacBook a couple days ago and no matter how much I calibrate the display or change settings the colors and saturation just don't seem to match that of my old iBook G4 screen. It's evident everywhere, from websites to pictures, but I chose color labels as an example since I thought it would be the easiest to capture in a picture.
Here's the best that I could do right now (MacBook on the left, iBook G4 on the right):

While I love the brightness of the MacBook's screen, the color accuracy and saturation levels compared to my old iBook G4 leaves something to be desired.
Also, and this might just be me being crazy, but when I get up close to the MacBook screen I swear I can see faint diagonal lines or something. It's especially evident on solid white.
And another thing, when you hear Alert sounds or the "pop" that's used when changing the volume, there's a crackling sound that accompanies it. Strange.
Anyways, is this just me being insanely picky or should I call up AppleCare and see if I can't swap out for a new one hoping it will be better?
