dumb complaint about safari

If you highlight the website in a safari window and try to drag the link to the desktop to save for later use, it doesn't work. it works in firefox and explorer. anyway to get past this on safari?

Drag the icon.

It works here too, doesn't matter if I drag by the text or the icon

i have 1.2.1. Dragging on the icon works. Thanks. (Only icon works, anywhere in text simple results in a re-highlighting of the text)

highlighting text works for me

If I click, hold the mouse button down I can drag the link to the desktop. If I highlight the link I can do the same. I've been able to do this in Safari for ages now.
