Hi all
This is probably a bit of a silly question but does iMessage work internationally for free? I'm guessing it does but then started to question myself LOL

I'm in the UK and I have a friend in the US, we both have iPhones so would an iMessage be like sending a message via Skype? ie Free?

Thanks to anyone who helps this day weary mind to find some clarity lol

Daz :)

Yes, it is just like Skype, AIM, MSN Messanger, Email. It sends as data. It's as "free" as browsing the web on your iPhone. The amount of data iMessage uses is extremely small (ex. 10,000 typical messages > 10MB).

Yes, it is free. I use it all the time to send messages to my brother in Singapore.

Fantastic, thanks everyone. I thought it would be free but you know sometimes when you doubt yourself lol
