Sorry, this is prolly pretty stupid, but the "@" icon on the right side of the dock next to the "trash" icon, seems to me to have a pretty limited function by default. Is there some way to have the "@" go to a site of my choice? Otherwise it's just wasting valuable real estate sitting in the dock. TIA!

Drag the website icon down to that spot near the trash and you'll get @ icon for that site

The website icon is the icon next to Plus sign @ the top

yeah just drag any url to the dock and a different link can be created. the apple one is just the defaulted one.

Thanks guys, it worked... uhm, I feel pretty stupid for not figuring it out on my own :(

On the other hand, I feel very happy that OS X is designed so beautifully that you can do things like this with such incredible ease and elegance :)

Don't feel bad, it was a perfectly legitimate question.

I was the same way when I first used OSX. Microsoft is just really good in brain washing you to make you think doing something on the computer needs to be 20 times more dificult than it needs to be. ;)
