ok say we look at the standard mainframe computer made today. how many years will it take to have the same procssing power in a ipad? im guessing 30 years or more?

There are many futurist books you should read. Some of the best are by Ray kurzwell.

Moore’s law is slowing down as you can only pack so much into small spaces without messing things up on an atomic level. At some point processing power won’t even be something we think about.

30 years from now? iPad won’t exist. Neither will iPhone. Look at Elon musks work with neuralink to see where we are going. Things in 30 years will be...weird. To say the least. We will look back on times like now and think about how archaic it was to walk around with little bricks in our pockets that only send and receive text and video. Vs what we see in the future with thoughts and emotions
