Dungeon Keeper: The Deeper Dungeons on Dosbox

Hello all. Not sure if this is in the right forum, but I've seen some Dosbox posts here. Please move it to games if that's more appropriate.

I was wondering if anyone ever got Dungeon Keeper: The Deeper Dungeons working on their mac through Dosbox?

Basically, I've Dungeon Keeper Gold (just the one cd 'KDDISK1' mounted on the desktop), and running it through the latest Dosbox on my Intel Mac.
I've Dungeon Keeper installed, patched for AI, and running quite well (up to level 4 and no problems yet) but I can't seem to get the Deeper Dungeons (the addon pack if you didn't know) levels working. They're on the cd, but I can't seem to install them. Anytime I try to run deeper.exe or similar, Dosbox asks me to run Install on the cd, but all that does is install the original game, not Deeper Dungeons. And there doesn't seem to be a separate install or setup file for the Deeper Dungeons

Any ideas?

I'm on an Intel Mac running 10.4.11. and the latest version of Dosbox. I also have boxer, but I can't get it installed using that at all, have to do it manually.

Sorry, can't help with your question but must point out this was an awesome series - too bad they never did anything else with it!

I had no trouble with the DK Gold and DKDD getting installed and running under Virtual PC, but they would run at 100x the right speed. Even on a G4.

Is there something in DOCbox that limits the CPU emulation ? Is there anything similar on VPC to do the same ?

Just to let anyone who comes across this know, I got it working alright through Dosbox.

I had to use a separate specialized Deeper Dungeons cd for some reason, but it works fine then. Something wrong with the installer on the DK Gold cd, I suppose

Could you tell me how to make a 'specialised deeper dungeons cd' mate? ive got dkgold running on dosbox but ive got no idea how to get the deeper dungeons part working, i can find it in the directory but theres no way of getting it working

A step by step guide would be amazing if you have time dude

Hey,

It's been a while so the memories a bit hazy, but as far as I remember I had to use an old CD I had of Deeper Dungeons (just the addon pack, not packaged with the original) that I bought when it came out for PC. When I used that with dosbox in the same way as I did with the main game it worked.

I think I bought Dungeon Keeper Gold because I lost the original Dungeon Keeper, I always had Deeper Dungeons, just had to root it out.

They're both in a different house at the moment so I'm not able to install them and do a guide, sorry about that man.
