Duplicate calls listed in recent calls list

I just checked the recent calls list because a friend told me I missed a call and I noticed that all of the calls listed were duplicated so that each call shows up twice in the list with the exact same time. I have T-Mobile. Does anyone know why this might be happening and how I can fix it?

Same for me as well, on Verizon…only missed calls show up as duplicates in my case. It’s been happening for few month and no idea why

I've just got a 14 and have this problem, Missed calls show 2 missed calls when it was only called once. I tried this myself from two different phones, and it shows 1 call as 2.

Anyone work this one out, or why? One other thread I found says it is duplicate number in contacts, but it isn't.

The duplicating missed calls is a scammer trick (or marketing) that will try to bypass the Focus with the default setting of "two calls right after each other bybass the do not disturb" toggle.

That's my theory anyways when I get the duplicate calls one right after the other. The "Ignore calls that aren't in my contacts" was a gamechanger, and I'm glad all the constant pestering feedback emails to Apple got them to implement a solution. (I'm sure many other people were pestering Apple Feedback, as bad as the marketing calls were pestering.)

You could try resetting your phone.

I had this on a Note 20 Ultra. It’s more than a phone issue.

Yes it can be. You need to look at what equipment and protocols the carrier is using.

However, I’m wondering if the phone isn’t dumping the eSIM in the same slot twice.

I have a 13 with two active lines from the same carrier; however, even though iPhone 13 supports two active eSIMS on one IMEi, my carrier doesn’t so only one is an eSIM and that line doesn’t show a call being missed twice

Am UK based so we don't have eSIM yet, still on SIM cards
Now you come to mention it, I wondered why I have 2 x IMEI numbers on this phone..

It's Apple, remember.... Why when I turn off cellular and wifi it can still receive and make calls... ?
Why is there still no icon for when phone is on silent/muted... ?
Why do I have to go to control centre to see if its on WiFi calling, when it was always written up top on the old iPhone 8... etc. etc. ?
