Duplicate Charges

Twice now in last week 2 separate charges had a duplicate charge. One of the duplicates dropped off after never changing from pending. I still have another purchase with a charge and a pending status. Assume the pending will drop off soon too.

Anyone else have this issue?

First time this has happened since having the card, which I got in August.

Not sure if iOS 13 related. Don’t see why it would be.

I did dispute first duplicate charge by iMessaging Apple and GS. They said can’t dispute charge while still pending.

Hope this does not continue. I really like the card.

Why worry about it? Charges don’t matter until they post, as you found out when trying to dispute a pending one. It’s not unusual for something like this to happen on any card (one of the chief reasons I get so annoyed by people using debit cards...).

Well, I don’t use debit cards. And twice in one week when it never happened before on any card ever is annoying. I know they will clear just wondering if anyone else is seeing this frequent duplication.

I've had this issue - but not on the Apple Card. I've had as many as three duplicate pending charges, and sometimes one with tax and one without.

Another favorite - which has happened on two other cards - refunds that show up as pending charges. They do change to refunds when they post, of course. But I always enjoy the 24 hours of worry.

As Böhme417 said, pending charges don't matter - ignore them. Nothing is real until it posts.
