¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hello all

I have read several threads about duplicate birthday calendar entries but none appears to be similar to the problem I have, which is that my duplicates are all within the Birthdays calendar.

If I uncheck the Birthdays calendar on my Mac (10.11.6) or my iPhone (iOS 10) both duplicate birthday entries will disappear. So both duplicate entries must be in the Birthdays calendar.

As the below shows, the entries are identical (I have selected one and pulled up the info window for the other).

I believe this happened when I did a log off/on in iCloud the other day.

I haven't been able to find instrux on how to merge entries so would appreciate any help.

Thank you in advance,
Philip

Thanks for the reply Brian. I hadn't even thought to check this (sheepish smile). Yes most contacts had been duplicated for some reason. I have now managed to merge them using the look for duplicates function in Contacts. All, or well at least this, is now well.

Thank you for putting my brain on the right track.

Best
Philip

The Birthdays calendar gets the data from your Contacts..the "birthday" field. Is there a duplicate contact issue?

I have this duplicate Birthday issue now as well. Duplicates on iPad and iPhone. Anyone here able to help. I sync with my MacBook Pro using iTunes and iTunes takes a long time to sync these days
