Hi all,

I'm having an issue with Calendar and importing and ics, specifically, the Lakers schedule (http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/media/2.0/teamsites/lakers/media/Lakers1213schedule.ics). It's duplicating all of the events

Here's my setup:
iCloud, running 10.8.1 in my iMac, MBP, and MBA, all synced. iPhone is running the latest IOS.

So I downloaded the file on my MBP, double clicked, and imported to a New Calendar. It loads the events just fine but then a few minutes later, it starts to duplicate all the events. The weird thing is that when I pull up Calendar on my iMac, MBA, and iPhone, it only shows 1 event per day (Duplicates on MBP, no duplicates on all other devices). I've tried importing the calendar using my iMac instead and the same thing happens. Duplicates on iMac, no duplicates on all other devices.

When I delete a duplicate, it's correct on that computer, but then is missing from all others. For example, when I imported using the MBP, Calendar displayed the same game twice on a day. Deleting one of the two events resulted in Calendar displaying 1 event on the MBP, but 0 events on all other devices.

When I log onto iCloud, there are no duplicates. I've imported schedules before (last year's and this year's Dodgers' schedule) and it worked fine, but of course, that was when I was using iCal and not Calendar.

I tried importing the ics into Google Calendar, making sure there were no duplicates (there were not) and then exporting it. And then importing the Google version and it still does the same thing.

I also tried creating a new calendar with two events, exporting it, and then importing it. That worked fine, it did not duplicate the two events.

So I'm not really sure why this Lakers schedule is not working correctly. I guess I could have it displaying duplicates on one of the three Macs, and having it display correctly everywhere else, but I'd prefer to not have duplicates on any device.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

madman - I have confirmed this issue as it happens to me too. Importing an ics file imports ok, a few minutes later, dups on the MBP, iPhone ok. Delete anything from the MBP calendar and it deletes from the iPhone completely. I even tried turning on time zone support on the MBP, doesn't resolve the issue.

Is it an issue with the calendars? Doesn't seem so.

I opened the file but nothing odd looking there. If I delete a duplicate the original also disappears. Two events or none per game!
