Somehow my photos keep duplicating and now I have over 950,000 photos, about 2TB worth of photos on my external hard drive. I do not have any of them stored on my computer in photos. I would say probably 850,000 are duplicates. My question is, are there any programs that give me an option to just move all the duplicates to another folder instead of trashing them? That way I can have one folder without any duplicates and then have one folder with all the extra duplicates. I am just paranoid trashing any photos and since I have so many, I do not want to look through them all and compare. I rather just keep them but inside a different folder.

Gemini 2 is great for this and supports moving dups to a different folder instead of deleting them.

We just went through this with my daughter's Macbook. She must have has tens of thousands of photos and videos. To the point where it was causing storage issues. Many photos and videos were duplicates or very similar. We took her system to the Apple store and the tech Alex (great help) told us about an software application he uses all the time called DUPLICATE PHOTO CLEANER. We used the free trial and it worked great. We also connected her iPhone 11 to her MacBook and the app cleaned up her phone as well. We ended up purchasing the app and used it on all of our systems and phones.
