iPod Duplicate Songs Problem.

I added a few albums from itunes to my ipod touch 2g. I noticed that there are alot of duplicate songs. I looked at the album on my hard drive and there are no duplicates at all of the same song. Is there a way i can fix this? thanks. Most of the albums i had already synced to my ipod touch previously. Are showing duplicates too.
