Thinking of returning my mbp for a black macbook. Just concerned about the quality of the casing. Does it show oil and fingerprints as much as I have heard. Is it suseptible to scratches? How are you liking the keyboard. Have till tomorrow to decide. Thanks in advance.

I saw one in PC World a couple of weeks ago on display which had had some heavy abuse from dirty fingers and looked rather tatty, as well as this there was some building work ongoing in the store so it was also rather dusty which i tried to wipe off with my finger but mostly stayed there! Looking rather tatty and tired. Put me off the black model and pushed me to the white model!

I have had my black macbook for 5 months. Yes, it does show fingerprints.
But, it takes 2 seconds to clean them off. I do not have any scratches on mine. The only problem I have is the screen hinges squeek when it heats up after using it for a while. Other than that, it's been perfect:)

The plastic of the white will scratch over time. It'll begin to look bad, but that all depends on who is looking at it (I think my iBook still looks good...). But, however, the black finish will hold up better while showing off finger marks more, but I think it looks better. Maybe I just like that old PowerBook G3 look...
