I use mactheripper and popcorn 2 to burn my dvds on my mbp. I have never had any problems until two days ago, when I started getting error messages on popcorn. The error is as follows:

The drive reported an error:
Sense Key= MEDiUM ERROR
Sense Code- 0x10
INVALID BLOCK SIZE FOR COMMAND

Is this a problem with Popcorn, or is my drive messed up?

Help appreciated.

I would say that if the dvd is clean and has no scratches on it, try running your hardware test disc and see what comes up. This sounds like a bad disc so the info to HDD is messing up but I've also seen this with a bad drive as well. Just double check your settings as you may have to tweek them. I'm hoping for the best so let us know ;)

I recently got a similar error message, but not that exact same one. My problem turned out to be that for some reason the application suddenly decided that my 4X burner was now a 16X burner. Since I always have the application set to "Best" speed, it was trying to force my burner to go at 16X speed. When I clicked on the drop down menu for burning speed and selected one that my burner was capable of, the problem went away. BTW, clicking on the drop down menu is how I figured it out - I was shocked to see burn speed choices from 1X to 16X, because it used to only show choices from 1X to 4X. Can't imagine how that got screwed up, but it did.
