Hello,
I recently had some old 8mm family tapes converted to DVD's. The company that did the conversion for me told me that it would be cheaper for me to make my own DVD copies because they charged $10 a disk. My problem is that I can not get the DVD's copied and working with the El Captain upgrade. I also have tried to move the files to I-Movie and can't get a copy to work on my DVD player. Any help would be appreciated. I even went to Apple chat and they really couldn't get it to work. My disk utility is limited. Is there a way to do this or do I have to go back to an earlier version or get some outside product like Wondershare?

Did you try to make an image from the DVD with Disk Utility?

Hello Erdbeertorte,
It worked. When I tried it before I was not getting a .cdr extension file. I was also trying to use a burn folder to copy a few of the smaller sized disks to one DVD.

Thanks,
Bob
