Ive just done a quick search and couldnt find any recent topics on this.
I can use my aluminium iMac to read DVDs and CDs, but when it comes to burnign them, I get communication errors. This didn't used to be the case, and has only sparked up recently.
I can't burn a disc, even on the slowest setting, and the discs are getting a tiny bit of data wrote on them, so the disc is unusable.
Ive tried a lens cleaner to no avail.
The machine is just out of the 1 year warranty because I bought it at launch.

:/

is it possible you're using cheap media? maybe try a different brand of disc?

I ran a lens cleaner on loop, then created a new account on my Mac, burnt a DVD with that with the new settings, and then went back to my other account, all works now! :]

Ahhh good, thanks for the follow up, my mac mini keeps giving me this error when burning discs, it'll happily read discs, but not burn them, I'll get me a lens cleaner tommorow!
