20' imac after dissemble replaced DVD drive now wheel stops spinning after a few seconds after chime sounds then wheel freezes. Does not continue to boot. Stuck! Ugh.... plugged everything back in order (at least I thought) what would make wheel stop spinning? I figured it must be the new DVD drive I put in. I unplugged it and now it boots up again. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your time

Could be a jumper issue! Are the jumpers in your replacement drive set like those of your defective original drive?
