i can't get that to work at all...

i've tried toasting the mounted disk image, but it won't let me burn a DVD from it, only a VCD.

Perhaps because it is a VCD image?

Transcoding to DVD (you could do this w/Toast) won't do much good since you'll generally incur more compression artifacts. Just use CD media and stick it in your DVD player anyhow...

FWIW A simple way to deal w/VCDs is to rename the .DAT file to .MPG and let QT deal with it.

Toast Titanium works like a charm

you need to burn them to a CD-R. burning to DVD will not work.
