DVD Player Crashes

So I was watching a move (Harry Potter) and halfway through (Chap. 18) the player crashes. Now I cant get past this part at all, with any player, and DVD player wont even get past it when played through my LaCie external. this is the 3rd thime this has happened on diffent disks. Any ideas?

so, if i am to understand this correctly you have verified it on two different dvd-roms and it failed? you have also tried different software players? have you tried a normal setup dvd? my guess is your disk needs to be clean or it is scratched.

It sounds like your DVD is damaged, or defective. If its not too old, I would look to get it replaced.

I would have said that too. However there are no scratches or dirt on the disk, and it playes just fine on my PC, as well as my actual DVD player.

Weird. Maybe a different program would work. I'd recommend VLC.
