Hello. I have recently upgraded Panther and my DVD player, that comes with 10.3.2, crashes every time...

I am running a Lite-on Combo LTC-4816H drive. I have erased the preferences and tried again... I have reintalled the player from the panther disks.

Is this a problem being faced with many or just myself? Did I do something unintentionally perhaps?

The drive works, reading DVDs until the upgrade, it is still bootable and it still burns cd-roms...So I doon't think its a hardware problem.

Please what are my options? I really don't want to install third party software... This should work...

Thanks,
Stylis

So after many hours of testing and trying many different possible solutions from reintalling the dvd package to Disk Warrior to removing and replacing hadware... Both Shake and myself figured out that it was because I have two monitors running that makes the DVD player crash. I am running and older Ati Xclaim VR Video capture card for my second monitor. We unplugged the second monitor and restarted.. Voila. Now this all worked just before the last update to 10.3.2... I guess no dual monitor support.

Oh well, I hope this helps anyone that might come across this same problem...

And thank you Shake for all the help... This is a great place to meet the right people...
