Hi All!
I am new to the forums, but I have a question, and I wasn't sure where to find the answer.
I'm wondering if it's possible to add-on functionality to Quicktime or DVD Player? (I would be hiring a programmer to do this if it is possible).
The type of functionality I'm looking to add on is "Event Recording".
By Event Recording, I mean, a way to setup a TIMELOCK/SYNC with the the video that is playing, and be able to tally events that occur throughout the video and have it export an excel spreadsheet that lists out the events that occurred.
As an example, during a basketball game, I will have video footage of games from each season for our high school. I want to be able to go through and record the statistics as they happen for the league, so that we can tally them up. I do NOT want to write them on paper and deal with that whole nightmare. So basically I would be able to play the video, stop it at, let's say, 1:14 when Player A makes a 3 pointer. So in the Excel file it would list PLAYER A - 1:14 - 3 Pointer (but also adds it to that players points).
I hope that's enough info for someone to help with a response.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it!
Daniel
