I've just purchased an Airport Extreme to operate a stand alone shared hard drive in the house. I wanted to know if it is possible to now use my DVD player to access the hard drive to play music/mp4's that are stored on the hard drive. Its a Panasonic DVD player and has a whole load of menu options (including a network menu) which makes me think it can be used to access the hard drive and play movies direct.

The DVD player is located right next to the Airport Extreme, and has a lot of output ports on the back including USB and Ethernet (obviously don't want to use the USB port as this is for the Hard Drive)

Can anyone tell me if this can be done using the Ethernet cable? Or by another means. Thanks
