DVD+R DL error

My first DL burn is now a $6 coaster. I used a Verbatim disc using Toast 6 and got this error:

What does this mean? I'm a little nervous to try another one right now.

what are you trying to burn?

have you updated to the newest version? I think that has more support for DL

On my first attempt at a DL, I was trying a disc to disc copy (two drives) and it failed miserably. Instead I used Toast to copy from the same drive that was burning - so it basically made a temporary disc image - takes a bit longer but worked for me...Hope that helps.

I'm attemting to burn a .dmg and using version 6.0.5.
Is there a problem with the image splitting onto the second layer?

version 6.1.1 is out although it looks like version 6.1 solved your problem

Correctly records to DVD-R DL (dual layer) media for data disc formats.
