Good evening!

I am using a non retina MBP 13'' with the DVD Drive. I use it for teaching. When teaching CPR I use the computer to play the CPR DVD. I had been using a silver apple remote to control the DVD. The apple remote no longer functions as it used to to. When i press play it opens and controls itunes. I was told this is due to OS updates.

Is anyone aware of any third party remotes or a way to control the DVD player remotely using some type of 3rd party product or an iPhone or iPad?

Thanks

A few options / questions. Can iTunes still play DVDs? It’s been a while since I tried. If so, problem solved. In terms of remote, you could look for a setup on Amazon with a USB IR receiver or BT remote. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00824948U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YbBSAbVJWMSJG
