I have MacBook Pro coming in just a few days.
I would like to install Parallels, but I'm wondering if Boot Camp would be a better option.
The only applications I need to run in Windows are DVD Shrink, Firefox, and possibly IE 7.
Ultimately, will I get decent performance running DVD shrink by simply using Parallels? DVD Shrink runs by default in a "low priority" mode.
I know that Firefox and IE 7 should run just fine in Parallels, so I'm basing my decision on a more resource intensive program, DVD Shrink.
Please share any experiences of programs running in Parallels at good speed, or more importantly programs that had noticable lag running in Parallels.
I'm aware of this other forum post, but only the last post gives any insight into how DVD Shrink runs in Parallels.

Another forum thread gives me some insight here:

This forum thread on the Parallels website seems to have some good suggestions:

Also, if anyone knows, what processor speed does Parallels virtualize?
Thanks,
