As mentioned in my original thread, I have an iMac G5, which is a gorgeous piece of machinery, but has a few issues.
The problem is that it will shut down if the OS/X operating system is running, even if it's just the OSX install DVD, which is what's in the drive right now. I'd like to kick the DVD out before booting so I can insert the Ubuntu Linux CD so I can install it and get it running again.
Is there a way to kick the disk out while or before it boots? I've looked all over for the answer with no luck.
Many thanks
