Anyone got any suggestions for a new iPhone user?? Just want to know if there is any (preferably) free software out there that I can use to RIP a dvd into a format iTunes will accept and I can play on my new phone. Thanks in advance for the help.

use mactheripper (search google), use handbrake to convert to iphone. done.

Yes, I had the same question myself recently. All I used was Handbrake which is free. It has an option to rip it to iPhone, which will optimize your settings if you're like me and have no clue what you're doing.

Warning: Be prepared to wait an hour or so for it to rip depending on your machine and movie length.

i used handbrake for all my stuff XD its AWESOME!!!
i use the iphone hi-rez function and then up the picture aspect ratio to 640x something that goes with the ratio. deff reccomend
