Hello,

I am experiencing a rather disturbing issue: my Combo-Drive MacMini doesn't "fully" recognize the DVD Movies I throw at it. They are not mounted on the Desktop, but they are viewable in Disk Utility (but not as a proper DVD Video).
This means the DVD Player launches, but I cannot play the movies "disc un-readable".

What the hell is going on? It reads data DVDs and CDs correclty. The only way I found to resolve my problem is to reboot the machine. Plus, if I leave it on lets say a dozen of hours, I will have to reboot again for the next movie.

Very disturbing.

Also, I noticed the audio is out of sync. Strange, strange, and strange.

Note: I have for example "7.1GB Matshita CD-RW" topping a BLANK (as if there were no progams to read it) icon with the name of my DVD for eg. "STAR_WARS_EPISODE_I". I use commercial DVDs

please, I need help. A reboot is painful. Being out of sync too.

I have never heard of anything like this before. Is the DVD player set to the same region code as the DVD's you are trying to use? If the region is set up correctly, perhaps you have a corrupted DVD player application or a faulty Superdrive.
