The MBP we're talking about is a MBP C2D 2,16 GHz with 2 GB Ram purchased mid november last year.
Since i was running out of diskspace i wanted to burn a dvd but the MBP just spins the empty dvd around a few times, moves the laserhead and spits it out again. Same result with another empty disc of a brand i've used multiple times without any problems.
Ok, now i wanted to perform a hardwaretest so i grab my OSX dvd and put it in, same result.
I went testing some other media and found that it still could read original dvdmovies, original music cd's, burnt music cd's, original data cd's (printercd), empty cd's.
It could NOT read: empty dvd's, burnt data dvd's, original data dvd (OSX!!!)
I know this is quite a bit to read but i like to give all the info i've got.
Anyone a solution for this problem (except for running hardwaretest)?
Thanks in advance
