iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic island question

I was texting and then the dynamic island started making a noise, pulsating, and the yellow light in the middle came on. Did it for about 5-10 seconds. What is this in response to? I clicked it but nothing happen.

Just once but it was quite erratic.
